We're searching for a qualified project manager excited to learn and contribute to an experienced PM team to help us maintain our position as an industry leader. The ideal candidate will have a solid project management base with some experience delivering business applications, as well as good communication skills combined with experience managing small to medium IT application projects. Ability to develop, maintain, and drive a schedule is key to ensuring that our project goals are being achieved. Ability to work with, learn, and be a mentee to a more experienced PM/Program Manager to contribute to an overall program (large IT initiative) is essential. Responsibilities
Build and develop the project team to ensure maximum performance, by providing purpose, direction, and motivation
Lead projects or workstreams of a program from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedule, scope, budget estimations, and implementation plans, including risk mitigation
Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure that projects adhere to scope, schedule, and budget
Analyze project status and, when necessary, revise the scope, schedule, or budget to ensure that project requirements can be met
Establish and maintain relationships with relevant client stakeholders and program manager, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes
Develop and maintain partnerships with third-party resources, including vendors
Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels and escalate issues, as necessary, according to escalation channel
Assist with financial tracking for the project
Required skills and qualifications
Two to five years of project management experience related to enterprise application deployments, on-premise or SaaS. Ideally at least one project using each model
Strong understanding of project management methodologies (such as Agile or Waterfall), proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Jira, etc.), good communication and collaboration skills, ability to prioritize tasks, and basic problem-solving abilities
Strong attention to deadlines and budgetary guidelines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Self-starter who is looking for a great opportunity to grow their PM skills
Preferred skills and qualifications
Professional certification such as PMP or actively pursuing certification
Strong business acumen
Experience working with business users as well as IT resources
Experience implementing solutions using Microsoft 365 software (SharePoint, data security and compliance, Purview)
