Responsibilities
Partner with Plant Manager and lead the monthly plant review meetings including variance analysis.
Lead financial modeling for plant specific projects to ensure profitability improvement is maximized
Assist plant managers on understanding the financial performance of the plant
Recommend and help implement programs to improve productivity, increase efficiencies, and reduce costs
Monitor plant operation results against operating plans
Lead the operations specific aspects of the finance operating cycle (COS, inventory, DPO and CAPEX)
Conduct financial reporting and analysis
Qualifications
This position is available at two career levels depending on education and experience:
Associate: 2 years of financial experience in global manufacturing environment, public accounting or business consulting environment
Intermediate: 5 years of financial experience in global manufacturing environment, public accounting or business consulting environment
Senior: 7 years of financial experience in global manufacturing environment, public accounting or business consulting environment + previous experience as a plant controller
Lead: 10 years of financial experience in global manufacturing environment, public accounting or business consulting environment + previous experience as a plant controller
Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Experience working in a manufacturing environment with US GAAP knowledge
Intellectual curiosity and business acumen (not just reporting the numbers, but desire to understand them and be forward looking to drive performance)
Solid work ethic with a positive continuous improvement mindset
Solid quantitative abilities, process oriented and attention to detail combined with ability to understand the bigger picture
Ability to travel up to 10%
Education Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance or related discipline.
Education and Experience Preferred:
• CPA or Master’s degree in accounting, business, economics or finance • Experience working for a publicly traded multinational manufacturing company • Accounting experience in an industrial environment • SAP, Oracle (including smart view), BW knowledge
