Job Summary

This position will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and underwriting mortgage loans and investor-related transactions. The role involves preparing loan commitments, closing instructions, and coordinating with various departments such as legal counsel, title, escrow, and borrowers. The candidate will manage loan policy and document folders, perform mortgage loan servicing tasks, and assist in the training of staff. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of loans.

Responsibilities:

  • Underwrite assigned mortgage loan transactions (refinances, new loan originations, extensions, assumptions, modifications, etc.).
  • Prepare loan documents, commitments, and closing instructions, ensuring compliance with requirements.
  • Analyze third-party reports, financial statements, and property inspections to assess loan risk and stability.
  • Maintain up-to-date loan policy documentation and assist in writing and revising policies.
  • Support loan servicing functions and assist in training and mentoring staff members.
  • Facilitate communication between underwriting, closing, servicing, and investor relations teams.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid role at the Hillsboro location (up to twice per week) is preferred for this role. *

Skills and Background You’ll Need:

  • Must-have:
    • High School Diploma or GED
    • 2+ years of experience in mortgage lending, banking, finance, or equivalent.
    • Proficiency in commercial mortgage lending, financial analysis, and spreadsheet software.
    • Strong understanding of underwriting processes and loan evaluation.
    • Experience in loan documentation, legal compliance, and closing procedures.
  • Preferred:
    • Degree in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
    • Experience in mortgage servicing functions.
    • Familiarity with real estate valuation techniques and financial modeling.

Please note - the salary range for this role is listed below. In addition to salary, our package includes incentive plan participation and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits, as well as an initial PTO accrual of 164 hours per year. Employees also receive 11 paid holidays and 2 wellness days per year.

  • Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on various factors, including individual and organizational performance.

Salary Range:

$51,500.00 - $75,500.00
