SUMMARY
The Specialist, Educational Programs serves as an integral member of the SHRM Educational Programs team. This position works closely with the Manager, Educational Programs and Education Team to implement the overall educational programs strategy with the goal of delivering the highest caliber of service and programming to SHRM members and the greater business community. The Specialist ensures seamless program delivery while maintaining the highest standards of service and engagement.
Responsibilities:
Act as the primary relationship manager for instructors delivering both in-person and virtual programs.
Oversee logistics for virtual programs, ensuring smooth delivery from pre- to post-program, including technical and operational support (occasionally outside standard business hours).
Manage all on- and off-site operational logistics for in-person programs in collaboration with the SHRM Events team, including coordination of meeting space logistics, food and beverage arrangements and program material deliverables.
Assist in scheduling educational program dates, locations, and instructor assignments.
Monitor program attendance, attendee satisfaction metrics and program/product set-up through internal platforms.
Advise and participate in curriculum and program development discussions.
Partner with the Instructional Design Team to produce accurate, high-quality program materials while adhering to budget guidelines.
Work with a team of SHRM On-Site Coordinators and Virtual Tech Producers to ensure successful program delivery.
Partner with the Education Team members and the Finance & Accounting Team on the operational finances and obligations of the business.
Work with internal partners to manage and monitor Education inquiries, trends and escalations from internal and external audiences.
Education & Experience Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, or related field; or equivalent relevant experience
Experience
Required
At least three (3) years’ experience in managing programs/events and/or projects or equivalent level of experience in project/program administration. Six (6) years of professional experience in lieu of a degree.
Preferred
Experience in adult education/training, event planning, customer service, financial analysis and/or program marketing
Certifications

Prior experience or desire to quickly develop working knowledge of NetSuite, Salesforce, SumTotal, Zoom and other technology platforms.
Awareness of learning trends, adult learning principles and virtual training environments.
Ability to interpret financial reports and perform data analysis to inform business decisions.
Solid customer service commitment: resourceful, diplomatic, team-oriented, and sensitive to the needs of customers, partners, and staff.

The hiring range for this position is $70,000 to $82,000 per year. This range is an estimate and the actual salary may vary based on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. SHRM offers a competitive and comprehensive total rewards package.
