Position Type: Full-time, Summer (approx. May 19, 2025-August 22, 2025)

Location: Positions are available in Las Vegas, NV or Reno, NV

Work Schedule: Summer: 40 hours per week

Key Roles and Responsibilities: NV Energy Legal is looking for a law clerk/legal intern to work in NV Energy’s in-house legal department. The position will focus on two areas of practice: 1) general transactional law, contract review, and litigation matters; and 2) administrative law, with a focus on state energy regulatory matters. The ideal candidate for this position should have an interest in energy law generally, transactional law, administrative law, contracts, and business matters specifically. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, flexible, a quick learner, highly motivated, able to accept assignments from multiple sources, and a good team player. Accordingly, candidates must possess strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, problem solving and decision-making skills. Lastly, candidates must be detail oriented.

Requirements: Completed first-year or second-year law studies at an accredited U.S. law school (by the time the internship begins). Submit a cover letter, resume and writing sample. Provide proof of 3.0 GPA. Attach unofficial transcript with resume when applying. Compensation: $26-$30 per hour based on year completed.
