Position Summary
The Credit Intern will provide assistance to the Credit Department with various recurring tasks as well as special projects.
Primary Accountabilities
Credit System Enhancements: Assist in streamlining loan processes and improving system integration to enhance scalability, accuracy, and reporting capabilities.
Data Management and Analytics: Support initiatives to standardize data collection processes and reduce duplication across credit systems.
Portfolio Management: Participate in portfolio reviews and assist with risk assessments to ensure sound credit practices.
Process Optimization: Collaborate on cross-functional projects to enhance loan cycle times, improve credit memos, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
Position Qualifications
Education/Experience:
The internship will run for Summer of 2025 beginning mid-May and ending early-August.
Able to work a 40-hour work week, Monday-Friday, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Must reside local to O’Fallon, MO and report to the O’Fallon, MO office.
Enrolled in a degree program with courses of study including Economics, Finance, or other related field at a college or university with at least 2 years completed.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret data and address challenges effectively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with familiarity in data analysis tools.
Interest in credit administration and process improvement is preferred.
Works well in team environment.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
