Flad is a national architectural firm currently hiring a Technology Manager to work out of the Madison, WI office. This role oversees Flad’s information processing systems and IT team, while staying current on IT technology trends and applications. Flad is a team of creative, intelligent, energetic people who help our clients tackle the issues that change people’s lives.



How will your days be spent

  • Oversee Flad’s information processing systems and IT staff.
  • Guide, supervise, and mentor IT staff, including project and workload monitoring. Meet regularly with individuals and at least weekly as a team.
  • Provide reliable and cost-effective IT solutions to support Flad’s business goals and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain technology policies and procedures, technical standards and methods, and priorities for IT service delivery in accordance with business needs.
  • Evaluate, recommend, select, and manage vendors/business partners’ products and services delivery. Benchmark technologies with firm progress, industry surveys, and outside organizations as available.
  • Forecast, develop, and monitor the IT budgets and ROI. Authorize and approve IT expenses.


What you bring to this role

Experience:

  • Minimum five years in IT leadership roles required.
  • Skilled at coaching, leading, and mentoring team members to ensure alignment with goals and performance objectives.
  • Success in establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Working understanding of network infrastructure with multiple VLANs and network protocols as well as automation and management solutions.
  • Working understanding of Active Directory and Group policies, cloud and on premises license and storage solutions, and audio/audio visual conference room solutions.
  • Working understanding of telephony systems management (i.e. VolP; Telco/Data provider contract management, server and desktop hardware/workstations.

Software Skills:

  • Working understanding of Microsoft M360, Teams, project management-based systems, architectural software, artificial intelligence tools, VPN, and backup solutions.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, or related field required.
