Job Description:

Seeking an organized and efficient individual, with an eye for detail and accuracy to join the team. An individual must be reliable and hardworking with an aptitude for numbers and good communication. In this position an individual will research, gather, and review details ensuring reconciliation of information. An individual must be committed to upholding integrity in every aspect of their work.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


  • Under general supervision performs various accounting duties of moderate complexity.

  • Prepare balance sheets.

  • Provides first level response to all inquiries via email and through an internal response management application, in accordance with department policy to ensure quality service standards are met.

  • Researches, reconciles, and analyzes data team to ensure financial and quality standards are met.

  • Identifies and researches payment discrepancies for proper resolution and follow-up.

  • Generates and provides daily reporting to Lead and/or Supervisor to ensure accuracy of data performed.

  • Verifies the completeness and consistency of accounting and financial transactions to ensure that controls and policies are being met.

  • Stays current with policies, procedures, and system information, including changes and updates.

  • Assists with special projects.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

CONDITIONS


  • Frequent and continued computer work; frequent sitting; and frequent use of computer, calculator, and other office related equipment.

  • Position is a hybrid role – some remote and some in-office work hours may be required.

  • Management reserves the right to apply mandatory overtime as needed during the first and last week of the month.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES


  • Ability to work with concentration, accuracy, and attention to detail.

  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles, processes, and terminology.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with employees and business partners, in a friendly and positive manner.

  • Ability to use judgment and discretion.

  • Ability to visualize, articulate, and solve complex problems and concepts, and make decisions based on available information.

  • Ability to use a computer and knowledge of standard and specific business applications, such as, e-mail, electronic spreadsheet generation, Microsoft Office, and word processing; ability to learn new software applications.

  • Accuracy, organization, and data entry skills a must.

  • Ability to learn quickly, and problem solving.

  • Multi-tasking capabilities and attention to detail is required.

  • High school graduate or equivalent required.  Cash handling, bank, or other financial service provider experience preferred.
