Employee Type: Seasonal (Seasonal) Perform welding, brazing, and cutting on any type of metal, using gas and electric welding equipment. Job Description: Essential Duties: Weld metal components together or cuts to fabricate or repair structural members or machinery used at the mine. Perform welding, brazing and cutting using gas and electric welding equipment. Follow layouts, blueprints or work orders to measure and set up the required work to meet standards. Inspect equipment to locate and repair cracks in metal parts/structural members. Perform job duties in accordance with MSHA law and regulations, established company safety procedures and state and federal environmental regulations. Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must have solid understanding of welding principles, metallurgy and mechanical principles and be able to set up rigging. Must have a valid driver's license Must be able to work rotating 12-hour shift work Education and Experience: On-the-job training or vocational training (minimum qualifications for job advertisement – must pass the necessary written and practical tests for this position.)
