Job Summary The Accountant position is responsible for ensuring the integrity of accounting information by accurate and timely reporting for financial transactions and financial reporting. This position performs accounting tasks that include recording transactions, reconciliation and the responsibility of issuing financial reports and disclosures.
Job Responsibilities:
Record financial transactions in the ledger and maintain required documentation. Analyze accounting options and suggest financial actions.
Complete various financial reports and disclosures following regulatory and GAAP requirements. Respond to accounting related questions by researching accounting regulations and policy.
Ensure accounting controls by documenting procedures. Ensure that legal financial requirements are adhered to and provide advice on relevant actions.
Participate and/or complete accounting projects.
Guide accounting clerical staff by answering relevant questions and coordinating activities.
Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required.
Consistently adheres to regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to the job as listed and complete required compliance trainings. Accountable to maintain compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
Job Requirements:
Education level required: Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent) in Accounting, Finance or related.
Minimum experience required: 1+ Years in Accounting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education level preferred: Master's Degree (or Postgraduate equivalent) in Accounting, Finance or related.
CPA designation preferred.
Job Competencies:
Possess advanced skills in the use of Excel package.
Strong ability in managing and processing large quantity of data.
High proficiency in data organization, filtering, as well as combining functions.
Proactive and customer focused.
Strong ability to organize work schedules.
Efficient in communicating both orally and in writing with all levels of staff.
Self-motivated with strong ability to prioritize tasks and perform multiple duties simultaneously.
Proficiency in the use of accounting software, including Microsoft.
Ability to analyze accounting options and perform mathematical computation.
Efficient in solving problems, and working with diverse variables.
