Job Description:

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Settlement/Invoicing Process:


    • Execute the settlement and invoicing process for Targa Gas Marketing’s (TGM’s) 3rd party natural gas purchase and sales activity.

    • Generate invoices out of Allegro, distribute them to customers, and manage all customer correspondence.

    • Ensure transaction-level data in Allegro matches 3rd party invoices and statements, confirming monthly net settlements with each customer.

    • Resolve discrepancies by communicating necessary changes with scheduling, commercial (i.e., marketing/trading), or customers as appropriate.



  • Monthly Accounting Duties:

    • Prepare wire/payment requests, coordinate approvals, book revenue and cost of sales entries into OFC, pay broker fees, and monitor incoming wires.



  • Controls and Reporting:

    • Perform monthly controls and reporting, including cash forecasts, Allegro to OFC reconciliation, documenting settlement confirmations for SOX and revenue audits, and monitoring and explaining outstanding AR and balance sheet items.

    • Conduct quarterly and annual reporting, including Top 10 Sales and Purchase customer reports, related party activity, and Tax - Sales by State reports.



  • Documentation and Audit Requests:

    • Organize settlement and control documentation and upload the appropriate data onto each of TGM’s three SharePoint sites.

    • Provide documentation for audit requests.



  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Five plus (5+) years of relevant work experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.

  • Strong academic record and demonstrated leadership skills.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to listen carefully and use clear, concise oral and written skills to convey facts and present positions.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Can grasp complex business problems and formulate creative, yet practical solutions.

  • Initiative and leadership in unstructured work environments, handling multiple job responsibilities, setting priorities, maintaining a high level of accomplishment, and implementing improvements to processes.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with internal and external customers.

  • A passion for learning and personal development with a long-term view of career development and advancement.

  • Strong systems aptitude and process orientation.

  • Exposure to computer systems and related skills, including prior use of Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic, high-performance culture with the ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments.

  • Comfortable working required overtime during critical periods.

  • Eligible to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

  • Regular and reliable attendance.
