Parraid is seeking an experienced UI/UX Designer to help migrate a desktop application to a cloud-centric, cross-platform tool with an improved user experience. In this role, you will also be creating visual assets, establishing design pattern libraries, and guiding the team to use UI/UX best practices. You will also assist the product owner in developing and defining product requirements. You’ll be joining a team of dedicated engineers and product managers to help design engaging and user-friendly interfaces for our software applications. We collaborate remotely with team members located coast-to-coast, leveraging Scrum methodologies.
UI/UX Designer Responsibilities:
Design visually appealing and engaging user interfaces ensuring workflows are intuitive.
Create and implement a design pattern library and style guide to ensure consistency.
Work with the product team and stakeholders to help define requirements, write acceptance criteria, and create detailed implementation specifications for the development team.
Conduct user research (interviews, usability testing) to understand customer needs, pain points, and behaviors.
Translate requirements into user personas and journey maps to guide design process.
Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mock-ups to effectively communicate design ideas and concepts.
Present each stage of the design process to stakeholders, incorporating feedback to refine designs and ensure they meet project requirements.
Collaborate with development team to ensure designs are efficient to implement.
Optimize assets and interfaces with consideration for desktop and mobile, as well as various screen sizes to ensure a seamless user experience across all devices.
Write clear and concise copy, establishing consistent tone and messaging.
Create high-quality image assets, including icons, buttons, and other UI elements.
Craft designs with a holistic consideration for the product's future and other company products.
5+ years of professional experience in User Interface and User Experience design.
A portfolio demonstrating strong UI/UX design skills with pleasant and functional end-to-end experiences that demonstrate critical thinking.
Proficiency in using design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Adobe Illustrator, and Express, or similar.
Experience building component-based UI design systems and reusable components across different platforms.
Experience developing responsive GUIs using touch-based interfaces.
Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
Ability to identify UI/UX shortcomings and develop strategies for incremental changes.
Ability to work in cross-functional teams with clear and effective communication.
Ability to demonstrate and present products to clients and solicit their feedback to understand customer needs.
Capable of delivering on multiple, competing priorities with little supervision.
(Optional) Experience in front-end development using C#, XAML, Blazor or similar tools (JavaScript, etc.).

Minimum Level of Education:
4-year Bachelor’s degree in UI/UX, computer science, or equivalent UI/UX experience in a professional setting.
Minimal Travel Required
Must be able to qualify and/or obtain a national security clearance at secret level or higher.
