SA-TECH supports the U.S. Army Sustainment Command's Enhance Army Global Logistics Enterprise Logistics Support Services at Schofield Barracks, HI. We provide maintenance services in the form of above-brigade-level, field, sustainment, and limited depot-level maintenance support as well as transportation counseling services and handling passenger, equipment, and cargo movements for Army Field Support Battalion Hawaii's (AFSBn-HAW) assigned tactical units and government affiliated civilian agencies.


We are seeking a seasoned Division Manager for the Pohakuloa Training Area (PTA) on the Big Island in Hawaii to oversee division Logistics Support & Coordination, Program & Budget Management, Customer Interface & Reporting, Employee Supervision & Development, and Operations & Compliance.


Key Responsibilities include (but may not be limited to):

  • Provide guidance, direction, and mission objectives to logistics support employees, ensuring successful scheduling, mission success, and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Lead logistics support operations for US Army, Civil Service, and contract personnel, in coordination with military/civilian leaders in the US Army Pacific Area of Responsibility (USARPAC).
  • Plan, coordinate, and integrate all aspects of supply, services, and transportation at PTA.
  • Serve as the Point of Contact (POC) for emergency services (Police, Fire, TISA unit requests) after hours.
  • Make key decisions regarding logistics coordination with military/civilian leaders to meet contractual requirements and address logistical challenges of moderate complexity.
  • Develop short- and long-term logistics plans and operating procedures to accomplish TMP, ASP, and TISA missions.
  • Review, interpret, and implement QSI, regulations, directives, and guidance to ensure compliance and efficient operations.
  • Conduct budget analysis and prepare performance statistics reports during Base OPS meetings.
  • Manage customer requirements and prepare budgetary requirements for reimbursable accounts, presenting financial reports to senior leadership and Base OPS.
  • Maintain positive relationships with LRC and US Army (USARPAC) personnel, ensuring timely and accurate completion of contractual requirements.
  • Attend customer meetings to represent the company and provide feedback to program management and section team leads.
  • Serve as the company's primary representative during Base OPS and LRC meetings, delivering briefings, presentations, and reports.
  • Oversee and manage Section Leads for TISA, TMP, and ASP, ensuring effective delegation and professional development.
  • Conduct Performance and Development Reviews (PDRs) to track employee progress every 6 months and 1 year.
  • Develop continued training programs to support employee growth and development in logistics operations.
  • Review and monitor the execution of government reports, job assignments, and completion of contractual requirements.
  • Analyze performance data, records, and reports to ensure operational success.
  • Serve as the Primary Hand Receipt Holder for GSA assets and equipment, and manage key control for government-issued keys and occupied buildings.
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed and review all purchasing decisions based on funding, contractual needs, and safety requirements.

Work Conditions:

  • This position is based at Pohakuloa Training Area (PTA) in Hawaii.
  • This is a full-time schedule with potential after-hours emergency support responsibilities.
  • Occasional travel may be required for meetings or site visits.
Requirements:

Education/Experience/Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred), or equivalent work experience.
  • Eight to ten (8 – 10) years of progressively responsible professional work experience in Army ammunition, supply inventory management, and working with military customers, with at least five (5) years of experience in logistics management or related fields, preferably in a military or government contracting environment.
  • Proven ability to coordinate and manage logistics operations, plan and direct complex activities, and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Experience managing diverse teams and overseeing logistics operations involving supply, transportation, and services.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with Windows and Mac OS X operating systems.
  • Strong skills in creating and presenting reports and analysis using Excel.
  • Experience with timekeeping and financial systems such as Kronos and DELTEK.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills with the ability to manage a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both military and civilian personnel.
  • Ability to analyze performance data and make operational improvements.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent budgeting and financial management skills, with the ability to develop and present budgetary reports.
  • Problem-solving skills to address and resolve logistical challenges efficiently.
  • Must be able to acquire a DA Form 7708 and comply with the Lautenberg Amendment.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate clearly with both military and civilian personnel.
  • Ability to organize, manage, and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Ability to recommend solutions for operational issues and improve processes through sound judgment and adherence to policies, regulations, and government laws.
  • At least three (3) years of applicable Army A&E (Ammunition and Equipment) experience.
  • Must have the ability to safely use hand tools, AIT, powered equipment, and material-handling equipment.
  • Must successfully pass and maintain certifications for: AMMO-31, AMMO-45, AMMO-63, AMMO-64, AMMO-67, AMMO-68, AMMO-75, AMMO-76, AMMO-108/AMMO Handlers, and AMMO-112 certifications.
  • Current Hawaii Driver's License required; must be able to be insured through company's vehicle insurance policy while driving work/government/rental vehicles during working hours, and for the duration of employment.
  • U.S. Citizenship required and you must be able to obtain and maintain a federal Secret clearance.
  • All candidates will be required to pass background screening to include Drug, SSN, Driver Record, and Criminal Background Investigation.
