Braun Intertec is seeking a Concrete Staff Scientist to join our Chicago, IL team. This individual will help manage testing and consulting projects related to concrete materials and structures.
Responsibilities:
Operate laboratory equipment and instruments
Collect and record test or field data accurately, efficiently, and thoroughly
Coordinate and manage various concrete testing projects with oversight of senior staff.
Prepare proposals for testing and consulting projects
Project related responsibilities consist primarily of developing project scopes, coordinate laboratory work, establish timelines, analyze and understand data, write reports, and assisting with the management of projects.
Assist in the execution of deliverables for projects or research
Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure project success
Be actively involved in industry and professional associations
Ensure adherence to quality standards and safety regulations
Required Skills:
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to Braun's company standards
Ability to conduct laboratory and technical field work.
Ability to monitor project progress and identify potential risks or issues for consulting and testing projects.
Possess technical aptitude to solve technical issues where solutions are undefined in typical practice
Able to interact with clients to help maintain project schedules and deliverables.
Ability to work within a strong team environment
Self-motivated to learn new skills
Ability to travel up to 25% of time for projects work technical support
Ability to lift at least 30 lbs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in environmental, geology or related
Basic understanding of concrete properties and testing methods.
Familiar with industry standards such as ACI, ASTM, or AASHTO documents and committees
Proficient in excel and word
Must have a valid driver's license.

Compensation Range: $48,000.00 - $72,000.00
