REQUIREMENT

We are seeking a Payroll Professional with experience working in the Government Contracting industry to join our team. In this position you will be responsible for managing our payroll and timesheet processes along with overseeing routine payroll tax filings and state registrations. This position will be an individual contributor role and will report directly to the Corporate Controller.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee and manage employee timesheet exports and postings in Deltek, ensuring accurate data entry, approvals, and adherence to company policies.
• Administer and process semi-monthly payroll for all employees using ADP.
• Collaborate with People Operations to review routine change reports and assist in maintaining and updating employee information in ADP and Deltek, including onboarding, offboarding, and changes to deductions or benefits.
• Verify payroll data, reconcile discrepancies, and generate reports for management, including the Controller and CFO.
• Process 401(k) contributions, health benefits deductions, and other fringe benefits as part of payroll.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, including timely filing and reporting of payroll taxes.
• Assist in payroll-related audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
• Address and resolve employee payroll and timesheet inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate and assist senior leadership, People Operations, and Accounting on additional duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Minimum of three (3) years of hands-on experience with ADP payroll systems and Deltek Timesheets.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, excellent organizational and time management skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll systems
• Exceptional communication skills and a customer service mindset.
• Ability to handle sensitive employee information with the utmost discretion.
• Strong analytical skills to resolve payroll discrepancies and issues effectively.

EDUCATIONAL, CLEARANCE AND CERTIFICATION

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• US Citizenship required

PHYSICAL/WORKING ENVIRONMENT

• This role is based in Dayton, OH or Arlington VA with flexibility for hybrid or remote work depending on business needs.

TRAVEL

• Occasional travel will be performed will be under the guidelines of Federal Travel Regulations and/or Joint Travel Regulations.
