Job Summary: The Senior Inventory Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the entire inventory process, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company policies. This role involves leading inventory-related projects, mentoring junior staff, and collaborating with various departments to optimize inventory operations. The Senior Inventory Coordinator plays a crucial role in maintaining accurate inventory levels, reducing discrepancies, and improving overall warehouse performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
Oversee daily inventory operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing inventory.
Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory records.
Experience with Fork lifts, Stacker/Powered man lifts.
Leadership and Training:
Lead and mentor a team of inventory coordinators and warehouse staff.
Provide training and guidance on inventory control best practices and company policies.
Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Analyze inventory data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
Generate and present detailed inventory reports to management, highlighting key metrics and insights.
Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory turnover and reduce excess stock.
Process Improvement:
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy and efficiency.
Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, sales, and operations, to streamline inventory processes.
Lead inventory-related projects and initiatives to support business goals.
Compliance and Safety:
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Monitor and maintain a safe and organized warehouse environment.
Address and resolve any inventory-related issues or discrepancies promptly.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma
Minimum of 3 years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or a related field.
Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to lead and motivate a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lift and move heavy objects, as required.
Preferred:Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field; or equivalent experience
Working Conditions:
This position may require standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
Work is primarily performed in a warehouse or storage facility environment.
Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required to meet inventory deadlines.
