ABOUT THE ROLE
Assist in all phases of a matter from case inception through trial (which includes attendance and assistance at trial site) or resolution.
Coordinate management of case documents, including organization, review, and production of documents.
Assist with the preparation of court filings, confirming proper Bluebook citation, proofreading, and assembling of exhibits and appendices.
Assist with depositions, including preparation of witness files, exhibits, notices, and subpoenas.
Assist with trial preparation and logistics, including preparation of witness files, and management of exhibits.
Provide professional client relationship management with external clients.
Create, edit, and proofread complex and practice-specific legal documents, forms, and correspondence, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
In conjunction with Paralegals, may prepare or coordinate the preparation of Responses to Auditor Requests. Assists with preparation of Opinion Letters.
Create and maintain client/matter lists and communication lists.
Organize and accurately maintain physical and electronic documents and files in a timely manner. Create and maintain working files and binders as requested.
Utilize Outlook to schedule appointments and calendar dates. Maintain contacts in Outlook.
Assists with timenote entry, including inputting timenotes, editing, proofreading, and closing them daily.
Collaborate with Client Account Manager and assigned timekeepers to manage billing process in 3E, including editing prebills, generating reports, and sending out final invoices.
ABOUT YOU
High School Diploma required, Associate's Degree preferred.
Minimum 3 years of recent Litigation Legal Secretarial experience.
Experience working in a large law firm preferred.
High proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook required.
Billing experience using 3E strongly preferred.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to apply strong attention to detail to all levels of work.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
Ability to work under pressure and complete job assignments in an accurate and timely manner.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective internal and external client relationships.
Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and staff and a variety of external entities including clients and prospective clients of the Firm.

Additional compensation may include a discretionary bonus, overtime as applicable, health/welfare benefits, retirement contributions, paid holidays, and PTO. The range displayed is specifically for positions performed in those cities/states and may vary based on factors including but not limited to the following: local market data and ranges; an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience; and certain degrees, licensing, and certifications.
San Diego salary range: $75k to $110k
