Salary/Position Classification


  • $44,000 - $46,746 annual, Exempt


Purpose of Position

The purpose of the Director of Player Personnel & Office Operations - Football position is designed to direct day-to-day operations for the UND football program and assist the football staff with recruiting, video, camps, planning and administrative tasks while adhering to applicable UND, football conference, and NCAA compliance guidelines. This position will have primary responsibility over the video responsibilities for football and all aspects of UND Football Camps. This position will also help market and sell the football program to potential recruits through correspondence and other recruiting efforts. Must have commitment to compliance with all NCAA rules and regulations. Must provide support and encouragement and ensure the safety and well-being of the student-athletes.


Duties & Responsibilities


  • Coordinate recruiting activity

    • Assist with the process of official and unofficial prospective student-athlete (PSA) visits, including, but not limited to, booking of all travel, local reservations, and campus reservations.

    • Maintain and create the Recruiting Calendar and Recruit Lists.

    • Manage and maintain all recruiting social media activities and engagement, in conjunction and consultation with UND Athletics internal and external operations.

    • Organize and maintain database files of recruits and student-athletes.

    • Assist with the process of admitting student-athletes to UND through housing, admissions, NCAA/Clearinghouse.

    • Coordinator of compliance with NCAA compliance logs, PSA (prospective student-athletes) lists, vehicle logs, CARA logs.

    • Complete all UND and NCAA documentation for coaches' recruiting travel, including processing of all relevant travel reports.

    • Collect, organize, and mail information sent to recruits and ensure it is in a presentable manner.

    • Maintain recruiting film library.

    • Manage Scholarship activity for present and future years.

    • Administrate over NLI Process.

    • Other recruiting duties as assigned by Head Football Coach.




  • Video duties

    • Use discretion and independent judgement in the management of Football digital/video contract.

    • Responsible for all video editing and recording, including, but not limited to: - Pre-scouting opponents - Taping and editing current team film - Editing video on potential recruits

    • Bid and purchase all IT supplies & software with guidance from UND Athletic Business Office.

    • Upgrade, train staff, and maintain all video equipment, computer systems & video editing software.




  • Football camps

    • Coordinate all UND Football Camps and Clinics.

    • Plan, develop, and coordinate all aspects for summer camps.

    • Complete data entry for all camper registrations.

    • Prepare all payroll hiring paperwork for submission in conjunction with UND Business Office.

    • Hire workers and develop camp schedules.




  • Administrative and office operations

    • Greet the public and answer questions when they enter the office.

    • Answer the phone, taking messages if necessary and relay them appropriately.

    • Order new products as needed.

    • Assist in all aspects of team travel in conjunction with Director of Operations and UND Athletic Business Office.

    • Travel with team, upon request.

    • Ship and collect all mail on a daily basis & transfer documents to appropriate areas of department and UND campus.

    • All receipts for purchases are compiled, reviewed, and turned in to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.

    • Maintain master department calendar.

    • Maintain database files.

    • Assist with correspondence.




Required Competencies

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), and computer skills (Microsoft Excel & Word).

  • Must have effective professional working relationship with student-athletes, staff, administration, alumni, and general public.

  • Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize.

  • Ability to teach and work with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

  • Must be detail-oriented.

  • Must have commitment to NCAA compliance and follow all NCAA, conference and UND rules and regulations.

  • Must provide support and encouragement and ensure the safety and well-being of the student- athletes including having a valid Driver's License.


Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree.

  • 2 seasons of experience with football administration at the NCAA Division I, II, or professional level.

  • 2 seasons of experience with football recruiting at the NCAA Division I, II, or professional level.

  • Valid Driver's License.

  • Successful completion of criminal history background check.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 or more seasons of experience with recruiting at the NCAA Division I or II level.

  • Experience with professional football, including collegiate experience as a professional liaison.

  • Proficiency with football recruiting video software (i.e. PFF, DVSport).

  • Experience with NCAA rules and regulations.

  • Experience as a collegiate football player.
