The Sales Data Analyst will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and curating sales data. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. The ideal candidate will have a background in data analysis, experience with sales metrics, and a passion for leveraging data to influence business outcomes.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Collect, analyze, and interpret sales data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
Ensure data accuracy and consistency across various sales metrics and reports.
Engage with Sales leadership and stakeholders to understand their needs, challenges, and strategic goals.
Conduct detailed assessments of business context to inform analysis and reporting efforts.
Translate business requirements into analytical solutions that drive decision-making.
Partner with Business Systems to create an ideal state for data.
Create compelling data visualizations and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations effectively.
Simplify complex data into clear, concise, and actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Marketing, IT, and Finance, to work towards shared initiatives and reporting/process goals.
Present findings and recommendations to Sales leadership and other key stakeholders.
Make continuous improvement to documentation standards and create efficiencies in reporting methodologies.
Build an understanding of the sector that underpins analytical insights against the business' key metrics

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience in sales analysis, business intelligence, or a related role.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI).
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce) and sales process optimization.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a team-focused mentality and proven ability to work collaboratively & cross-functionally
Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
High-level understanding of data and experience in extracting, integrating, manipulating, and displaying data from various systems using automation where possible
Experience using Power BI would be considered an asset.
