RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Tax Preparer in Saline, MI.

Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned Enrolled Agent or CPA to join our team for the upcoming tax season. As a Tax Professional, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing tax returns for individuals and businesses while ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Tax Preparer will prepare and review individual and business tax returns accurately and efficiently


• Conduct thorough tax interviews with clients to gather necessary information


• Research complex tax issues and provide solutions to clients


• Timely communication with clients to address questions and concerns regarding their tax situations


• As a Tax Preparer, you will stay up to date on changes in tax laws and regulations


• Maintain Enrolled Agent License

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.


• Enrolled Agent or CPA license required


• Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax preparation


• Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., Lacerte, Drake Tax)


• Deep understanding of IRS guidelines


• Strong attention to detail and accuracy


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


• Strong analytical skills


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment


• Availability to work extended hours during peak tax season

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
