This is a part-time on-site Lab technician role at Dr. Raji Shyam's lab.
Department-Specific Responsibilities
Responsible for managing the mouse colony including genotyping, weaning, and in-vivo experiments.
Aides the team in conducting research, data analysis, and utilizing laboratory skills to support various on-going projects in the lab.
Performs laboratory maintenance such as monitoring and managing the inventory, collecting packages, autoclaving, cleaning etc.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
Required
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Biology, Chemistry)
WORK EXPERIENCE
Preferred
Experienced in animal handling, mouse breeding, genotyping, and weaning
SKILLS
Required
Ability to follow team member expectations outlined in the lab handbook
Strong Analytical Skills, Research, and Data Analysis capabilities
Effective Communication skills
Proficiency in laboratory skills including Western Blotting, immunohistochemistry, cell culture
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Additional Information
This position is funded through August 2025.
Work Hours
Position may be scheduled up to 29 hours per week.
