Senior Psychiatrist

Provide administrative supervision and psychiatry supervision to Psychiatry Case Managers, Psychiatry staff and Psychiatry residents. Provide psychiatric services, consultation, medication assessments, and short-term psychotherapy for UVM students at the Center for Health and Wellbeing. Provide Psychiatric crisis intervention for high-risk students. Coordinate Psychiatric services provided to students through CAPS including contracted and per diem staff. Responsible for promoting a safe Center for Health and Wellbeing for students and staff of all races, ethnicity, religious, national origins, gender sexual orientations, disabilities and ages. Responsible for supporting the mission and philosophy of the CHWB, Division of Student and Campus Life and the University of Vermont.
Medical degree, licensed as a physician in the State of Vermont, completion of residency in psychiatry and Board eligible in psychiatry, and three to five years of related experience in a college counseling center required. Experience in working with patients with eating disorders, alcohol abuse, and dual diagnosis required. Ability to demonstrate commitment to diversity and inclusiveness required.
$215,000-$225,000 @ 11 month term
Open to current UVM employees only , Occasional evening and/or weekends required (if non-exempt position, may result in overtime), A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees, Background Check required for this position
