Position Overview

This key role in the Legal & Compliance department reports to the Compliance Manager and is responsible for the analysis and completion of critical legal documents and compliance processes across the platform to ensure the organization is adhering to federal/local regulations and meeting customer expectations. The specialist will also manage, support, and perform internal compliance audits across the platform.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Review, analyze, and ensure completion of legal, regulatory, and compliance documents.
  • Maintain accurate compliance records to ensure availability for audits and inspections.
  • Manage and execute internal compliance audit activities.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives, including the ISO 9001 compliance-based system, 5S audits, and customer-specific requirements including, but not limited to, ISO 9000, RoHS, EcoVadis, and other environmental requirements.
  • Manage vendor and customer portal registrations and questionnaires.
  • Liaison with 3rd party compliance vendors.
  • Customer Credit Application review, including Ts & Cs.
  • Assist Compliance Managers with accident investigation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skillset:

  • High level of compliance acumen required.
  • Proven sound judgment decisions and discretion required.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems – ISO 9000, 9001.
  • Auditing experience (SQF/NSF, GMP, or ISO/TS) required.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field; Paralegal certificate or equivalent training preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ prior compliance experience required.
  • Self-starter with ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects and manage incoming direction from multiple sources.
  • Team-oriented skills with a demonstrated ability to collaborate, develop rapport, and build relationships with teammates, subject matter experts, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills, including reading comprehension.
  • Proficiency in computer programs to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Familiarity with SaaS applications such as Qvidian, Salesforce, or other software, a plus.

Base Salary Range for this opportunity is: $76,000 to $82,000 annually
