The Senior Internal Auditor is responsible for conducting internal audits, ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) regulations, and identifying operational efficiencies. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting, finance, and internal controls, as well as experience with data analysis and SAP systems. The position is based near Fort Collins, Colorado, and involves collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Auditing: Perform internal audits using a risk-based methodology, covering various company operations.
SOX Compliance: Contribute to SOX testing efforts, including documentation, control testing, and remediation follow-up.
Data Analysis: Utilize data analytical tools to identify misstatements and trends in financial data.
SAP Proficiency: Demonstrate understanding of SAP systems and the ability to extract and analyze data.
Business Process Knowledge: Possess a strong understanding of financial and operational business processes.
Internal Control Framework: Apply knowledge of internal control frameworks (COSO) to assess control effectiveness.
Collaboration: Work closely with external auditors and internal teams to ensure audit quality and efficiency.
Communication: Present audit findings to senior management and follow up on corrective actions.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in auditing, data analysis, or financial analysis.
Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in Excel or other data analysis tools.
Experience with SAP systems and data extraction.
Understanding of SOX requirements and internal control frameworks.
CPA or CIA certification preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
Competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000.
