Job Description:

Wor-Wic Community College is accepting applications for a student engagement and belonging coordinator to champion students beyond the classroom by coordinating programs and activities, including implementing and administering Esports and athletics, increasing student engagement and belonging and creating an inclusive and welcoming campus for a body of diverse students. This position is required to periodically work evenings and weekends, including student events, registration and commencement ceremonies.

Essential Duties

The following list is not intended as, nor should it be construed as, exhaustive of all responsibilities, skills or working conditions associated with this position.

  • Assists the director of student engagement and belonging with student engagement programs and events in a manner that all students feel valued, supported and engaged in their college experience; participates in campus-wide diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging initiatives, student activities, recruitment efforts and other college-wide events
  • Provides guidance and supervision to members of the Student Government Association (SGA); supports student leaders with leadership development and mentorship; and ensures compliance with student privacy laws (e.g. FERPA)
  • Collaborates and builds relationships with student organizations, community and campus partners, and local organizations and stakeholders to build and foster mutually beneficial relationships and support student engagement efforts
  • Researches, proposes and assists with implementation of programs and initiatives related to student activities, community engagement, recreational sports, Esports and future athletics programming
  • Assists with the management of the campus food pantry
  • Assists with data collection and analysis to assess student engagement and identify areas of programming and continuous improvement
  • Assists with on-campus voter registration initiatives
  • Assists with coordination of commencement and student recognition events
  • Contributes to the annual and five-year comprehensive department assessment process
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in education or other relevant field
  • Two years of relevant work experience
  • Excellent computer (Microsoft Office), organizational, human relations, verbal and written communication, data analysis and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to promoting student success and well-being
  • Valid driver's license

Supplemental Information

This is a full-time standard administrative position with excellent fringe benefits. The starting salary for this position will likely range from $60,200 to $73,850 depending on the successful candidate's qualifications and experience.
