Title: Success Scholars Wellness Ambassador

General Summary: The purpose of this position is to provide basic wellness information to fellow students and facilitate conversations. Wellness Ambassadors will help create a warm, welcoming environment in the WRC and SSP. Wellness Ambassadors will receive Peer Mentor training from SSP as well as specialized training from WRC.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Giving short presentations to peers in classrooms or small group settings
Having 1-on-1 or small group conversations
Tabling to provide information about wellness resources on campus and to promote the SSP
Helping with events
Gathering student feedback on existing and future programs
Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
Currently enrolled at MCC and in good academic and student conduct standing
Must maintain a minimum overall GPA of 2.5 or show academic progress
Demonstrate an ability to quickly establish rapport and communicate well with students
Ability to relate to students with various academic levels and needs
Work comfortably with people from diverse backgrounds
Good organizational, communication, and basic computer skills
Previous experience or high comfort with public speaking
Ability to work autonomously
Comfortable talking about all aspects of wellness
Additional Information:
Salary Range: $17 per hour in accordance with the College's Part-Time Wage Schedule
Location: Lowell or Bedford campus
Hours: 5-10 per week, schedule to be determined upon hire
Expected Start Date: January 15, 2025
