Role overview
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is responsible for supporting the Sales departments focused on Employers and Consultants through lead generation. This includes qualification of all inbound and outbound leads via the phone, web, email, industry events and direct mail campaigns. The SDR is also responsible for event and marketing campaign support, follow up and proactive
opportunity generation. The SDR reports to the Manager of Market Development.
A Day in the Life of:
• Lead Management and conversion: Proactively manage and convert leads to sales opportunities, to support the development and growth of the top of the sales pipeline funnel.
• Outbound Outreach: Conduct high-volume outbound calls, emails, and social media interactions to engage with potential customers and introduce Accolade's solutions.
• Effective Communication: Overcome objections and clearly articulate Accolade's value propositions to potential clients, demonstrating how our solutions meet their needs.
• Meeting Coordination: Schedule and facilitate meetings between qualified leads and the appropriate Sales team members, ensuring a smooth transition into the formal sales process and/or presentation.
• Pipeline Management: Use our CRM system to track interactions, manage lead status, and maintain accurate records. Utilize creative strategies to build the sales pipeline, enhance deal velocity, and drive overall revenue growth.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to develop and refine messaging, identify target markets, and share insights on lead quality. Collaborate to achieve sales goals, source new opportunities, and ensure effective communication and follow-up throughout the sales cycle.
• Product Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date and extensive knowledge of all Accolade product offerings to effectively engage with prospects and provide accurate information.
• Reporting: Provide regular updates on lead generation activities, conversion rates, and progress toward targets to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Policy Compliance: Adhere to all corporate policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with company standards and practices.
What we are looking for...
• Bachelor's Degree business or marketing, or equivalent experience in phone-based lead generation
• 3+ years of experience in sales and/or phone-based lead generation with demonstrated success in B2B sales is preferred; healthcare benefits consulting exposure a plus
• Experience with Salesforce, Outreach, Demandbase and Microsoft Office is strongly desired
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent listening skills and energetic phone presence
• Positive, high-energy attitude. Exceptional drive, self-motivation, and passion for results
• You are coachable, respond well and implement feedback, and prioritize continued self-improvement
