Compensation Range
Hourly: $26.25 - $35.00 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.)
About This Job
The main purpose of this job is to load, book, research, maintain transactions in Aspire system, perform daily reconcilement duties, and create payoffs for leases and loans.
Essential Functions
Load and book commercial leases and loans in the Aspire system
Perform file audits to verify data added by others to Aspire
Comprehend requests in order to produce, review, and explain ad-hoc reports to Senior Management
Responsible for invoicing and researching sales and property tax issues, including interpretation of state statutes regarding tax, and applying these rules to how the equipment is used to determine a prudent course of action
Analysis of the portfolio in order to create presentations and charts for Senior Management
Identify efficiencies within the department; write policy and procedures for the department
Process property tax bills and invoice customers received from taxing jurisdictions
Transfer nightly GL via the accounting system's process
Perform daily reconcilement - verify general ledger accounts are balanced or make corrections to get them in balance
Compute payoffs for leases and loans by having knowledge of documentation and accounting system data
Prepare vehicle titles for release when a customer pays off a lease/loan
Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
Intermediate knowledge of accounting and tax rules as they apply to leases
Intermediate analytic abilities to decipher financial data
Knowledge of lease structures
Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Inquisitive, agile, and strong team player with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent combination of education and experience required
3+ years experience in an accounting/finance role required
3+ years experience in the equipment finance industry preferred
