The Assistant Program Director primarily aids the Program Director in the day-to-day operations. The Assistant Program Director works closely with internal and external partners and may be expected to represent the agency at community and provider functions. They work collaboratively with clinical and administrative supervisors to assist with the operational and organizational functions of the program. The Assistant Program Director supports the operations to help meet the defined mission and goals. They are familiar with all regulatory requirements of federal, state, and local regulatory and/or accrediting bodies to help ensure compliance. They are responsible for helping with marketing and advocacy efforts. They may be assigned to oversee special projects as the Program Director deems necessary. On-call availability and supervisory expectations may be a requirement of the Assistant Program Director position.



What you will be doing


  • Provides direct supervision of recovery specialists.

  • Provides monthly staff supervisions and conducts monthly mandatory recovery specialist group meetings.

  • Monitors staff training and ensures all required trainings are completed.

  • Monitors the accuracy of all staff time sheets every week.

  • Monitors coordination of patient admissions and discharges.

  • Initiates disciplinary actions when needed up to and including dismissal of personnel.

  • Ensures the program adheres to regulations and requirements of licensing and funding sources.

  • Maintains communication with internal and external CSS program administrators.

  • Serves as a liaison with other BHN programs.





Requirements


  • Bachelor's Degree in mental health, addictions, or a related field is required.

  • One (1) year of supervision and management experience is required.

  • At least three years' experience in the Human Services field (required).

  • Commitment to client empowerment and growth, human rights, and community integration (required).

  • A working knowledge of DPH Bureau of Substance Addiction Services (BSAS) regulations (preferred).

  • Familiarity with the internet, word processing, and email systems (required).

  • On-call availability (required).

  • In successful recovery for two or more years (required)
