Job Description:

Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex network infrastructures. Serve as a strategic advisor to the organization, identifying opportunities to leverage network technologies to improve business efficiency and agility. Provide project management and engineering for application and system installations, upgrades and strategic initiatives. Function as a technical liaison between technology and business partners/leaders ensuring support, adherence and alignment to the strategic direction of the organization. This position focuses on design and implementation of network infrastructure including but not limited to switching, routing, firewalling, load balancing, IPAM, CUCM, telecommunication, & wireless with a secondary focus is on system engineering.

Hiring Range: $107,000/year to $144,500/year.

Must be a resident of WA or OR, hybrid after on-site training.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Design and implement complex network architectures, including multi-site, high-availability, telecommunication and disaster recovery solutions

  • Develop and implement long-term network strategies aligned with clinic's network and collaboration objectives

  • Provide network infrastructure that is secure, scalable, performant, redundant, and easy to manage

  • Acts as technical lead for the administration and maintenance of network infrastructure

  • Provide routine after-hours maintenance and emergency support as needed to maintain and secure systems

  • Implement optimization techniques to improve network throughput, latency, and reliability.

  • Conduct network assessments and identify opportunities for optimization and cost reduction

  • Mentor and guide engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement

  • Participate in system feasibility studies, project proposals, SOWs, project charters, project initiation requests

  • Review third party SOWs and make recommendations

  • Work with vendors on maintenance costing, and project cost estimates

  • Lead technical discussions and decision-making processes

  • On call rotation required

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:


  • Aruba/Juniper switching and routing experience required

  • CUCM and telecommunication experience required

  • Expert in WAN and LAN technology and protocols

  • Palo Alto Firewall design & management experience required

  • Routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP required

  • Aruba Wireless management experience desired

  • Citrix NetScaler or other load balancing platform desired

  • VMWARE experience desired

  • Citrix experience desired

  • Deep Packet Analysis(tcpdump/wireshark) experience desired

  • Infoblox experience desired

  • Experience with highly available architecture

  • Experience with monitoring: Nagios, Splunk, Netflow, SolarWinds, ControlUp

  • Experience with API integration with PCCE(automation, AI, python)

  • Experience with major upgrades to UCM/PCCE

  • Proven ability to communicate effectively, both in written and oral form

  • Proven ability to work as part of a team, in a fast-paced production-oriented environment


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors or technical degree in related field (computer science, information systems, etc.) or equivalent combination or education and experience.

  • Minimum of 10-15 years Senior Engineer/Architect level experience.

  • IT certifications desired such as Security +, CCNA, CCNP Enterprise and Collaboration, PCNSA, GIAC.

Pay Range:
$105,112.00 - $157,668.00

Benefits-eligible employees accrue PTO and Personal Time based on hours worked and State worked, totaling 120 hours in the first year for full time staff and 200 hours in the first year for full time supervisors and above, increasing in subsequent years. PTO and Personal Time accruals are pro-rated by FTE/hours worked. Non-benefits eligible employees will accrue Personal Time based on hours worked and State worked.
