POSITION SUMMARY:

Our Redmond-based client is looking for an Software Design Engineer for a Remote based position. This is a short term contract based position.

Team is looking for help to build new experiences on the app that can drive forward Game Pass and the PC Gaming ecosystem. As a software engineer on the Engagement team, your function is to design, develop, implement, test, and maintain business and PC client experiences on the app, building using React Native for Windows, primarily using TypeScript with some C++ XAML as needed.



Responsibilities

  • Understand system requirements, document specifications, and develop software solutions to meet client needs and data.
  • Analyze and review enhancement requests and specifications to provide costs and development estimates.
  • Implement system software and customize to client requirements.
  • Prepare the detailed software specifications and test plans.
  • Code new programs to client’s specifications and create test data for testing.
  • Modify existing programs to new standards and conduct unit testing of developed programs.
  • Create migration packages for system testing, user testing, and implementation.
  • Provide quality assurance reviews and test plans.
  • Perform post-implementation validation of software and resolve any bugs found during testing.



Qualifications

  • Must have 4+ years of professional software development experience building end-user applications.
  • Must have 3+ years of excellent design and coding sills in TypeScript and React Native.
  • Must have 3+ years of experience building end user applications in C++ XAML.
  • Must have 3+ years of experience with the Windows ecosystem, React native modules, UWP, and WinRT APIs.
  • Experience in programming and experience with problem diagnosis and resolution.
  • Should have a Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science or computer engineering.
  • Should have solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design.

  • A competitive pay range of $60/hr - $61/hr (depending on experience).
  • Position Location: Remote - United States
  • 15 days per year of Paid Time Off (PTO).
  • 8 paid holidays per year (which includes 1 personal floating holiday).
