Overview
Consor is looking for Construction Inspectors to support the growth of our construction management group in the Western United States. This position will offer you an opportunity to travel to unique destinations to inspect both state and federal projects. If you join our team, you will work with a team of internal and external staff, including other construction inspectors, managers, and documentation specialists. Hourly Range: $65/hour - $80/hour
Responsibilities
Lead field inspection duties and be in regular communication with Consor construction project managers
Coordinate with both internal and external staff team members, including construction project managers, other field inspectors, quality control technicians, and documentation specialists
Coordinate closely with project stakeholders, including the client, construction contractor, utilities, and the public
Document quality and quantity of materials installed on a continuous basis
Perform all other daily construction inspection duties
Qualifications
At least 10 years of experience in construction inspection of civil infrastructure projects such as port construction.
Demonstrated knowledge of quality control / quality assurance construction inspection means and methods; knowledge of current construction inspection techniques; and knowledge of safe working practices and regulations in relation to different types and phases of construction.
At least three (3) years of experience using construction management software systems.
Certification needed to perform inspection according to best industry practice, such as a nationally and construction industry recognized technical certification related to mechanical construction.
A baccalaureate degree in engineering or experience as a millwright or similar trade is desired.
Candidate must be flexible to service construction projects in the greater San Francisco Bay Area, specifically South Bay and/or East Bay regions.
