The CAFLS Recruiter supports the College of Agriculture, Forestry, and Life Sciences by coordinating prospective student visits, organizing recruitment events, and maintaining effective communication with students, families, and stakeholders. This position directly impacts enrollment and fosters engagement by showcasing CAFLS opportunities and creating a welcoming experience. This will be a time-limited position to fulfill the duties of the CAFLS Recruiter prior to and during an extended leave. Other duties as assigned.
JOB DUTIES:
40% - Essential - Organize and manage personalized campus visits, group tours, and special requests for prospective students, ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience. Facilitate efficient communication with prospective and transfer students, addressing inquiries promptly and providing accurate information. Collaborate with admissions counselors to meet prospective student needs, oversee application follow-ups, and represent CAFLS at university-wide events.
25% - Essential - Lead the organization of events such as CAFLS Spring Open House, FFA conventions, and National Scholars Program activities, managing logistics, communication, and follow-ups.
20% - Essential - Assist with coordinating CAFLS ambassador meetings and events, overseeing ambassador recruitment and selection processes. Design, distribute, and manage recruitment materials, such as postcards, to encourage enrollment.
15% - Essential - Participate in monthly training sessions, visitor center meetings, and professional development opportunities to enhance recruitment strategies and foster collaboration with university departments and external stakeholders. Assist with student services office duties and events as needed.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education - Bachelor's Degree - Experience in Student Services
