Job Description:

The Program Manager for the National Science Foundation Grant: ART: Intensifying Translation of Research in Oklahoma (InTRO) will be responsible for ensuring all day-to-day, short, and long-term project operations are handled on time, within specifications, and within budget.  The Project Manager will work with DISC's Executive Director and Principal Investigator, leadership team, and other internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful coordination and execution of such project.


Essential Duties:



  • Program Management for the project including managing all phases of the project from inception to completion, ensuring the project is delivered on time within the stipulated scope and budget.

  • Assesses program effectiveness and identifies areas of improvement.

  • Manages program documentation, data collection, and reporting.

  • Able to manage major deadlines simultaneously and interface with internal and external stakeholders effectively.

  • Manage the SEED project competitions and winning teams to ensure the successful execution of deliverables.

  • Manage day-to-day aspects of the project.

  • Conduct project reviews to ensure metrics are met.

  • Manage budget and meet financial objectives.

  • Responsible for the project’s financial and technical reporting.

  • Performs other related duties as required that might include but not limited to hiring personnel and supervising graduate students.

Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree, AND: 



  • 48 months of program development, program management or related experience. 


Equivalency Substitution: Will accept 48 months of related experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree for a total of 96 months of related experience.

  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines



  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively with internal and external stakeholders



  • Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines



  • Ability to solve problems creatively



  • Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful



  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office



Certifications: 





  • Valid Driver's License



Advertised Physical Requirements:



  • Ability to engage in repetitive motions.

  • Standard Office Environment. Frequent exposure to pressure caused by deadlines and busy periods. May be required to travel. May require contact with other departments and university officials.

  • Previous program management experience and working with external and internal stakeholders.
