Salary: $100,000.00 USD Annually - $120,000.00 USD Annually

The Judge Group is seeking a Quality Control Manager (Certified Welding Inspector) with Steel Fabrication /
Preconstruction
Steel Girder Manufacturing experience in the Rustburg, VA area.



COMPENSATION: $100k - 120k


LOCATION: Onsite


RELOCATION: Provided for the right candidate



MUST HAVE: 5+ years of experience in a Quality Management capacity in a Preconstruction Steel Girder manufacturing plant of similar Steel Building industry company.



MUST BE: A Certified Welding Inspector



MUST BE: Open to some business travel (Up to 30% at times)



RESPONSIBILITIES


- Manage work schedules Quality Control staff

- Planning, coordinating, and run training and review personnel certification. Ensure quality plan requirements are met

- Recommend equipment, systems and process improvement

- Manage staff (Promotions and disciplinary actions, time off request)

- Interpret structural drawings, codes, and standards

- Perform dimensional and visual weld inspections

- Document inspections and examinations

- Review upcoming projects and perform inspections and certifications including NDE and coatings application

- Plan, coordinate, communicate project requirements to various department heads and inspection personnel


Qualifications:

- Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) required

- Strong understanding of welding inspection and structural steel

- Ultrasonic Testing (UT) Inspection certification requited

- Open to some business travel (Up to 30% at times)


Familiarity with:

- Drawings, codes, and standards

- Visual and dimensional inspections

- GMAW and FCAW welding processes


Must be willing to gain knowledge on:

- Magnetic Particle (MT) Inspections

- Blasting and Coating Inspections

- OSHA 10 certification
