The International Financial Lines Facultative Team of Everest Reinsurance Company, a member of the Everest Re Group, Ltd. is looking for an Associate Underwriter to join our Miami, FL office.


Responsibilities include but not limited to:




  • Work collaboratively with Latin American financial lines facultative underwriters on all aspects of rating and processing new and renewal business.






  • Receive submissions from clients and enter relevant data into systems.






  • Book premium in underwriting systems, issue slips and process endorsements.






  • Engage with clients as needed and deliver excellent service.





Qualifications, Education & Experience:




  • Bachelors' Degree






  • 2 to 4 years' experience working in the US or international insurance or reinsurance industry.






  • Prior experience in financial lines underwriting is preferred, however claims or brokerage experience also acceptable.






  • CPCU or other relevant industry courses are helpful.





Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:




  • Fluent in English and Spanish. Proficiency in Portuguese or other languages is a plus.






  • Needs to be very detail oriented, organized, and have ability to multi-task and balance priorities.






  • Good communication skills and collaborative spirit.






  • Comfortable taking initiative to achieve objectives and open to receiving feedback from colleagues and peers.






  • Opportunity for advancement so candidates should be interested in progressing into the position of financial lines facultative underwriter.






  • Must be comfortable working with computers and skilled at basic Microsoft suite programs: Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
