Safely and skillfully operates a cold milling machine following all standard equipment procedures.
Responsible for proper usage of grade control devices, micrometers, comparators, and calipers to check parts.
Maintains equipment in proper operating condition by performing simple preventive maintenance and repair tasks such as adjusting, fluid checks, replacing minor parts and lubricating equipment.
Responsible for daily checks of the milling drum, conveyors and water supply systems.
Responsible for daily inspection and replacement of milling teeth on the milling drum to assure proper cutting patterns on pavement surfaces.
Must maintain an acute sense of awareness to the surrounding footprint of the machine (watch for obstructions while operating the equipment, such as ground utilities, curb and gutters).
Maintain constant visual contact with co-workers on the ground and trucks in front of the machine.
Must perform general laborer duties as assigned.
This is a full-time temp-to-hire opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
1-2 years of experience operating MFG machines (CNC is a plus)
Experience loading and unloading parts
Medical device experience is a plus but not mandatory
Experience using Comparators, Micrometers, and calipers to check parts
Attention to detail is mandatory
Horizontal, Vertical Mill, Conventional Sinker
Good math skills a must
Schedule: 2nd shift
Mon-Fri: 3:15pm to 12:45am
Saturday: 12:30pm to 8pm
Pay Rate: $18.00-$22.00 hour
