The Receiving & Shipping Lead is responsible for the merchandise processing of Appliance Outlet, Repair and Distribution Center merchandise. The Receiving & Shipping Lead is also accountable for accuracy of all in-bound and out-bound documentation and supervision over merchandise ensuring all product is has been received properly and cleaned, deluxed and prepared for sale timely. The Receiving & Shipping Lead is also accountable for inventory shrinkage. The Receiving & Shipping Lead is also a role model within the unit for abiding by and holding others accountable for The Code of Business Conduct and overall business practices. Leads by example with the highest level of integrity. The Receiving & Shipping Lead must have day, evening and weekend availability to work.
Job Duties:
Leads the receiving and shipping operations to ensure achievement of business goals in expenses, payroll, inventory shrinkage, and Associate morale
Takes action as needed to ensure that all Associates fully contribute to the unit’s efforts
Adheres to operational processes
Develops partnership with Sears Logistics Services' Distribution Centers and Product Repair Service units
Leads receiving and shipping processes in training
Assists the Shipping & Receiving team in the movement of merchandise throughout the building, and assists with loading and unloading trucks when necessary
Takes ownership for full implementation of corporate programs and initiatives on expense management, productivity, and Associate morale, including adherence to operational processes and ensuring performance standards are met
Ensures that the unit adheres to safety policies and procedures
Maintains facilities and housekeeping
Understands and communicates to Management activities/trends in unit and unique local issues
Supervises replenishment of sales floor in host unit
Assists with the Outlet Repair & Distribution Center (ORDC) Counts and the Ideal Floor Plan
Understands the Non-Sellable Merchandise Criteria and either directly inspects or reviews all incoming merchandise for non-sellable criteria, reporting findings to the Operations Manager immediately
Ensures that inventory is properly secured prior to shipment and is loaded onto a truck using the appropriate processes for reducing damage
Supervises the selection and distribution of product to stores aligned to unit
Performs other duties as assigned
