Responsibilities

What you'll be challenged to do:

Gannett Fleming TranSystems is looking of a Senior Electrical Engineer / Project Manager. Our engineers enjoy working on a diverse range of projects in a variety of sectors, including schools, military, healthcare, municipal, institutional, commercial, and multi-family residential.  This role will entail managing a project from project award through final construction.

Primary Responsibilities:


  • Manage a team of engineers/designers to complete electrical design projects.

  • Coordinate with other disciplines as required for a successful project.

  • Interface with clients and owners.

  • Writing project specifications.

  • Managing project budgets.

  • Meet with clients for the purposes of obtaining future work.

  • Design building and site lighting systems.

  • Size, coordinate, and specify lighting fixtures and electrical distribution equipment.

  • Calculate and analyze electrical loads.

  • Perform lighting calculations to ensure adequate light distribution and energy-efficient design.

  • Provide design support in AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam.

  • Attend meetings with the project team, including architects and other engineering disciplines.

  • Ensure electrical design complies with electrical codes, standards, and regulations.

  • Prepare documentation for permit applications and agency review.

  • Perform construction site visits and write field reports.


Qualifications

What you bring to our firm:


  • Minimum of 10 years experience in the A/E/C industry

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

  • Experience with Revit MEP, AutoCad, Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Excellent communications skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Authorization to work in the United States (required)

This compensation range is specific to the State of Washington and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; internal peer equity; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At TranSystems, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the starting salary begins around $120,000-175,000.
