Salary/Position Classification

• $544.00 monthly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)


• 3 hours per week


• This position will work onsite our Grand Forks, ND campus.

The Department of Music is seeking to hire a Part time instructor to teach undergraduate and graduate courses along with contributing to the mission of the department and the university through service activities.

• Teach 2.5 hours of applied graduate cello/string bass lessons per week.


• Teach one hour of mixed chamber ensemble per week.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to teach, inspire, and
  mentor students


• Effective interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively with faculty,
  staff, and students.


• Ability to work with and engage diverse students and colleagues within and outside the
  Department of Music.

• Master's degree in music or equivalent experience with specialization in low strings.


• Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

• Collegiate teaching experience.


• Orchestral performing experience
