We are seeking an experienced Global IT Category Manager to join American Tower's U.S. Tower division's Operations organization's Supply Chain team. The team strategically sources quality materials, services, and technologies at the lowest total cost while enabling effective and efficient purchasing solutions and enhancing supplier partnerships. You will play a critical role in managing Global IT sourcing strategies, vendor relationships, and contract negotiations for key IT categories. The Global IT Category Manager will deliver cost-effective, high-quality solutions to support our IT organization's mission of leading the industry.
What You Can Offer Us
Provide expertise to global IT leaders to ensure broad alignment on cost management, including sourcing and demand optimization opportunities.
Lead global procurement for SaaS, Oracle, and voice and data services, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Negotiate favorable terms for contracts, licenses, and with services suppliers by managing vendor relationships and ensuring service level agreements are met.
Drive savings and efficiencies in the procurement processes, identify opportunities for risk mitigation, and ensure compliance.
Partner with the IT, Legal, Finance, and other departments to align procurement with business needs and manage end-to-end supply chain processes.
Implement process improvements and use data to optimize both vendors' performances and supply chain strategies.
Provide thought leadership in vendor strategy, operations, innovation, and efficiency improvements in the IT category space.
Conduct business reviews with strategic vendors, measure performance, and establish plans for continuous improvements.
Prepare analytics, metrics, and dashboards to demonstrate business problems, solutions, and benefits for the vendor management team.
Ensure that agreements' terms and conditions are thoroughly reviewed and documented and that risks are mitigated.
Oversee the maintenance and inventory of technology contract data including the support, warranty, lease, maintenance and software contract and license information.

What You Need to Succeed
Bachelor's degree required with a concentration in Engineering, Business, or Supply Management preferred.
Minimum 8 years of IT hardware and software contract negotiation experience required, preferably in a supply chain position.
Experience managing supplier relationships for individual requirements and within a fixed contract required.
Intermediate skill level with MS Office Suite and advanced skill level with MS Excel and MS PowerPoint required.
Experience with procurement platforms (e.g., Oracle, Salesforce).
Experience negotiating and creating value in situations with limited traditional leverage.
Professional certifications strongly preferred (Certified Property Manager, Certified Professional in Supply Management, or Certified in Planning and Inventory Management).
Approximately 5% travel may be required to support the position's responsibilities.
Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.
Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results.
Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment.
