MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:
As part of the Spectris Business System (SBS) Team, you will work with operational and leadership teams, along with functional representatives, as required to:
Lead the deployment of LOM and High impact projects to achieve SBS strategy; supporting delivery of business goals
Provide technical expertise in SBS methods and tools
Lead the SBS deployment at a site or region level, improving productivity and efficiency.
Identify and lead cross-functional improvement or strategic projects aiming to delivery hard benefits by reducing waste; or defects on complex products or processes, improving productivity and efficiency.
Co-ordinate SBS training, activities and projects; for example, they may deliver SBS portfolio training and coaching to an awarding body accreditation standard
Coach, mentor and communicate with SBS Specialists, Practitioners, Method experts, Champions, business leaders and stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The role holder will have the following responsibilities but not limited to:
Actively manages the site Lean Operating Model deployment and improvement priorities to SBS standards in collaboration with Site Leadership
Ensures alignment and facilitation of activities with SBS maturity/calibration criteria and guidelines for Lean Operating Model (LOM) deployment to achieve Bronze, Silver & Gold Certification to ensure deployment plans stay on track
Applies SBS Learning resources and standards that are supported by SBS Group to install methods, deliver training, leverage standards
Provide coaching to enable the team through maturity progression
Escalates significant deployment gaps/issues
Facilitates SBS communication and change management that will enable site leadership to deploy and sustain SBS culture while also helping to recognize successes
Role models SBS behaviors
Conducts learning activities (through training or demonstrated application) for employees to develop SBS knowledge and skills
Lead the SBS Calibration Assessment in all cells/areas at the site, focus on consistency and knowledge sharing
Collects and gathers lessons learned, successful and failed improvements, benchmarking information and discusses opportunities with Director of Business Excellence.
IMPACT:
Either one significant size site (Almelo, Malvern, Norcross, others that might appear) or multiple smaller sites (e.g.: NE of US, Asia Pacific)
Can be assigned a Function to the become the key point of contact.
ACCOUNTABILITY:
For analysis, action plans, training/upskilling, kaizen events, project delivery.
ENVIRONMENT AND HOURS:
Based in Norcross (Atlanta Area) Contractual hours 40 per week.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED OF THE JOB HOLDER:
Entry Qualifications
Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt/Lean Black Belt/Lean Expert or equivalent
Engineering / Business Degree qualified or with a proven change management / continuous improvement track record
Experience
Experience Leading Lean/CI Improvement Teams (3-5 years+) deploying Lean transformations is required.
Experience in Lean deployment is required with expertise in A3PS, Value Stream Mapping, Daily Management, Kaizen Systems, Safety Programs, 5s, Lean Leadership & Standard Work
5+ years experience in change management,
10+ years of supply chain experience
Project / Program management and teaching using lean and six sigma tools
Multiple industry / sector / functional experience
Strong track record in working effectively to project timescales, budgets and goals
Technical Skills
Expert Level Training/Certification in Lean/Six Sigma/CI Methods from a recognized industry leader or Gold Performance Standard Company
Excellent training and facilitation skills
People Management skills, i.e. the ability to lead, inspire and motivate a multidisciplinary team, work with cross-functional teams, and the ability to tailor communication skills to different personalities
Use of / good understanding of Minitab 20 or newer
Proven problem-solving skills
Soft Skills
Excellent organizational skills: Track record of planning & execution to key performance areas of SBS related metrics (safety, delivery, quality, productivity/cost, and people development/culture)
