GPIseeks motivated and experienced Resident Engineers to supervise professional or technical staff while managing the day-to-day activities related to construction management and administrative/financial matters for assigned projects throughout Long Island and NYC. Ideally, we seek someone with a good work ethic, a desire to learn, the willingness to work collectively with our team and clients, and the ability to work on concurrent projects.

Responsibilities:
Ensuring construction work is performed per contract documents, specifications, and applicable codes and standardsMaking sure that construction work is performed safely, completed on schedule, and within budgetReviewing and confirming daily narratives, daily labor, and time and material reports are completed accurately and on a timely basisCoordination of construction work with facility operations, maintenance, other contractors, and other stakeholdersReviewing contract drawings for constructability, staging, and logistics
Qualifications:
BS in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related fieldPE is required, and an ASCE VProject experience $100 M or higher is a plus12+ years of experience in multi-discipline transportation construction projects, with extensive experience managing construction work for public agencies such as the Port Authority of NewYork and New Jersey, MTA agencies, NYCDOT, and /or NYSDOTProficiency in using Microsoft Office, Primavera, Site Manager, and/or other contract management tools
