Job Description:

Safe Harbor Peninsula Yacht Club is situated on the shores of Lake Norman, just north of Charlotte, North Carolina. It is the largest inland lake in the Carolinas and is located at the site of the former Outrigger Marina. Safe Harbor Peninsula Yacht Club was founded in 1995. The marina is in a well-protected deep-water cove and the clubhouse sits on a beautifully landscaped lot with breathtaking views. Safe Harbor Peninsula Yacht Club offers members premier dining & boating opportunities in a casual yet upscale environment. The family-style pool, modern clubhouse, expansive deck and first-class marina all create the exclusive, yet inviting, environment that is the Yacht Club. The Peninsula Yacht Club offers À la carte services as well as hosting an array of special events ranging from weddings to private business meetings.

Responsibilities:

• Sets up banquet room as directed, ensuring correct place settings and the cleanliness of all flatware, glassware, and china


• Greets guests and assists them in being seated


• Provides cocktail and wine service


• Serves banquet meal courses


• Maintains banquet tables during meal service


• Clears tables


• After event, clean work areas in kitchen and banquet room


• Resets banquet room as directed


• Reports to event manager prior to departing shift


• Performs other duties as assigned

Safety and Environmental Responsibilities

• Follow SHM Safety and Environmental rules and complete required related training


• Wear proper personal protective equipment as required for the task or work area


• Report all accidents, injuries, spills and near misses immediately

Technical and Physical Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred


• Prior food and beverage experience preferred 


• Previous customer service experience preferred


• Ability to stand for long periods of time 


• Ability to lift 10 pounds
