Position Summary Information
Job Description Summary:
Admission Assistants are an important asset to the Office of Undergraduate Admission.
This position works closely with Group Visits on campus which includes preparation for and presenting to visitors.
Group visits typically range in size from 12-50 people, ranging in age from elementary to high school students, and are often from diverse backgrounds.
Admission Assistants will also assist with daily administrative tasks which include but are not limited to data entry, answering phones, producing social media content for the Office of Undergraduate Admission, and interacting with prospective students and their families.
Please note that based on current visit policy for the Office of Undergraduate Admission, this position will have in-person office hours with virtual presentations to prospective students.
Requirements:
Must be available for large-scale Admission Events (weekends) and hours in the office during regular business hours.
Must have presentation skills and the ability to present to groups as large as 50 people.
Characteristics of an Admission Assistant include being prompt, polite, approachable, and taking initiative.
Additional Information:
Presentation skills and ability to work with a diverse group of people are a must for this position.
Physical Demands Summary:
May need to lift boxes up to 20lbs.
