We are currently hiring a Legal Administrative Assistant in the Bellaire Houston area.
The Paralegal will be responsible for assisting the attorneys by managing various aspects of 1,000 tax cases.
Duties include but are not limited to the below;
Manage the prosecution of roughly 1,000 tax cases
Monitor the service status of each defendant, and secure proper service on all defendants sufficient to obtain a valid and enforceable final judgment in the proceeding
Prepare all pleadings necessary
Correspond and discuss with taxpayers and defendants as necessary and collect the delinquent taxes and fees
Draft judgements for submission to the court
Handle all communication with the clerks of the courts
Attend virtual and in-person trial of hearings if requested by litigation attorney
Schedule and Compensation:
Must be able to work 40 hours a week.
Monday- Friday 8AM-5PM, with rotating Saturdays as well
$18 per hour
Requirements:
*Must be bilingual Spanish
Minimum of HS Diploma required
College is a PLUS
Experience in the legal field is preferred
2-3 years office experience required
