Enhances and increases experiential learning opportunities and reduces opportunity gaps through the cultivation of intentional partnerships. Increases support to faculty and staff to ensure more opportunities for experiential learning. Cultivates on and off-campus partnerships to increase access to internships through targeted outreach strategies, including career treks and professional development opportunities. Develops partnerships with the Graduate School and competency-based programming for students seeking advanced degrees. Serves in a career counseling role and assists with Career Center assessment efforts related to experiential learning initiatives. Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB DUTIES:
40% - Essential - Internship Programs & Partnership Development: Develops partnerships with campus partners, employers, and other stakeholders to share best practices, develop consistency across the student experience, and promote experiential learning opportunities with intentional, collaborative programming for targeted disciplines. Manages domestic and international career treks, including promoting and preparing students for participation. Promotes and assists with other SC ExL Grant funded special projects.
25% - Essential - Programming Outreach: Develops and implements programming designed to increase the number of graduate students utilizing the Center's services through the development of partnerships with the Graduate School and Colleges.
20% - Essential - Career Counseling: Provides comprehensive and in-depth career services to individuals and groups in a 24,000+ student body setting. This includes but is not limited to career counseling, providing workshops, acting as an adviser to undergraduate and graduate student groups, and attending professional development opportunities.
15% - Essential - Research, Assessment, Core Competency: Researches best practices for promoting and reducing barriers to experiential learning opportunities. Assists with developing and implementing the Career Center's core competency initiative, specifically to graduate students.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education - Bachelor's Degree
Work Experience - Working in student services programs
