RESPONSIBILITIES:

A Kforce client is seeking to hire a fully remote Business Consulting Director.

Summary:
This is a boutique advisory firm and provider of advisory services to Government Contractor and Federally Funded clients. This is an excellent opportunity for growth (Partnership track if desired) and an amazing family friendly work environment (no heavy hours - excellent quality of life). The firm is a great match for a CPA looking to transition out of long hours in public accounting and into a consulting & advisory focus. The Senior Business Manager will provide consulting services to a range of middle-market clients including advisory, accounting/finance, and essentially acting in a VP of Finance capacity.

Responsibilities include:

• Business Consulting Director will be responsible for client monthly accounting/closes


• Master technical/GAAP issues within Federal & Government Compliance; including Government Audits, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARS) and the Cost Accounting Standards


• Preparation of annual incurred cost submission


• Effectively communicate with auditors and represent clients during financial and government audits


• As a Business Consulting Director, you will take a lead role with the planning and executing of business and financial strategies for clients


• Lead and delegate work for junior team members

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting


• 10-20 years of accounting experience; CPA preferred (ideally 5+ years in Public Accounting)


• Strong understanding of GAAP (with understanding of Federal Government Compliance, FARS and Incurred Cost Submission)


• Proficient in Microsoft Office including advanced experience with Excel and Word


• Ability to effectively communicate with clients and act as a business advisor


• Experience using Great Plains Dynamics accounting software is a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
