Position Overview: Primary duties to include first shift supervision of batching, pelleting, receiving and delivery of livestock feed and all related safety and documentation. Additional duties to include loading/unloading trucks, customer service, housekeeping, equipment maintenance, warehouse maintenance, forklift operation, grain handling and other related feed production duties. Supervisor will supply a first shift update to the Mill Manager daily.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Must be able to work independently and efficiently without supervision.
Assist mill employees with operating activities, training, and development.
Operate scales for inbound and outbound trucks.
Performing basic preventative maintenance, including housekeeping items.
Understanding the feed ingredients and proper handling techniques and storage.
Distributing the feed onto feed trucks while minimizing shrink.
Mill and truck mechanical interest and aptitude are beneficial.
Operate equipment safely and maintain equipment according to maintenance schedule.
Ability to use analytical techniques for problem solving, coordination, and decision making.
High attention to detail and formula accuracy.
Driven, organized, punctual and self-starter.
Individual must be team oriented and leadership capabilities.
Consistently follows all laws, regulations, and safety rules.
Properly complete necessary paperwork, documentation, and records daily.
Assist with other duties as required.
Skills and Qualifications:
BS Agriculture related degree or equivalent work experience.
Computer proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook, WEM and FMM.
Agriculture background a plus.
Must pass drug screen and background check.
Have a commitment to safe working conditions and operations of CDL required vehicles.
Be willing and able to work well with others, to take and give constructive criticism and to supervise 1st shift mill operators and drivers.
Must be able to work without supervision and make 1st shift operational decisions.
Attention to detail, accuracy, and productivity.
Physical demands of the position: Standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching are required in all areas.
Lifting is required in many areas (weight depends upon area). This position will work in a dusty and sometimes cold, hot, and humid environment.
Education and Experience:
BS Agriculture related degree, or the equivalent thereof, and/or prior work experience.
