Job Description:

Position Overview


The Benefits & Compensation Administrator is responsible for the operational and compliance aspects of total rewards, such as global compensation analysis, benefits administration, and HRIS management. The role supports key HR functions and aligns with the overall Total Rewards strategy to enhance organizational effectiveness at Viskase.  This role requires a proactive individual with a strong foundation in HR systems, data analytics, and compliance.


Key Responsibilities



  1. Compensation Administration:


  • Conduct global wage studies, pay equity assessments, and FLSA analyses.

  • Support compensation benchmarking, market trend analysis, and job evaluations.

  • Assist in the design and implementation of competitive compensation programs.


  • Benefits Administration:


    • Manage employee insurance programs and oversee payroll deductions and employer contributions.

    • Configure HRIS for open enrollment, new hires, and life events.

    • Provide support for leave of absence programs.


  • HRIS and Data Management:


    • Maintain accurate employee records and manage dashboards using tools like Power BI and UKG.

    • Analyze data and ensure system accuracy for Total Rewards needs.


  • Payroll Support:


    • Serve as a backup for payroll processing and related administrative tasks.


  • Project Management & Compliance:


    • Lead or support ongoing HR projects and ensure compliance with ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, and other regulations.

    • Collaborate with auditors by preparing documentation and upholding policy standards.


  • Job Description and Performance Management:


    • Prepare and update job descriptions to ensure accuracy and alignment with duties.

    • Support performance management initiatives and reviews.

    Qualifications




    • Education/Experience:

      • Bachelor’s degree or at least 3 years of experience in benefits or compensation administration.



    • Technical Skills:



      • Proficient in HRIS platforms (UKG/SAP preferred), Power BI, and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.




    • Knowledge Areas:

      • Familiarity with regulations like ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, and ADA.




    • Personal Attributes:

      • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.

      • Strong written and verbal communication skills

      • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
